Leaving the Sahara on the way to Aït Benhaddou

After a sunrise breakfast, we left our camp in the Sahara and drove to the oasis of Tinghir for lunch.

A herd of camels photographed from the bus.

Women washing rugs in the river, photographed from the bus.

A valley town and geographic scenic from an overlook. Our drive took us through a town where many movies are made and through a valley where roses grow abundantly and the source of rose water.

Scenic of a town just before going into the Todra River Gorge with almond trees in bloom.

The Todra River Gorge with imposing cliffs rising above the river. We were dropped off at the end and given the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the area. We weren't supposed to shop, but some of us did it anyway.

Morocco is very happy to see some desperately needed snow in the Atlas Mountains.
